  • Overview

    Ipas, a global non-profit reproductive health organization is seeking a Field Coordinator to provide support and training to in-country Health System service providers. The role requires assisting other Health Systems staff with visits to facilities for quarterly monitoring of comprehensive abortion care activities and supervision of service providers. The Field Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining training materials and assisting in monitoring facility data. The position also collaborates with other in-country Ipas staff to draft reports and compile other information related to Ipas’ Health Systems improvement.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides technical and project management support on unit projects including development of training materials, supporting the administration of facility baseline assessments and quarterly site monitoring, and data collection.
    • Develops, plans, and supports training/orientations in consultation with team and local partners.
    • Ensures data collection, data accuracy, and on-time submission for reports.
    • Conducts follow-up with providers and partners to ensure training/monitoring effectiveness.
    • Drafts training/workshop reports for review and dissemination to document project and program progress.
    • Maintains relationship with and information about outside participants in trainings and workshops.
    • Develops curriculum with the assistance of outside stakeholders.
    • Assists with unit budgeting and monitoring of expenses as required.
    • With direction from the M&E Advisor, conducts periodic data collection visits to Ipas sites, including administering site and provider progress reports.
    • Assists Senior Health Systems Advisor in conducting some start-up and program support visits to Ipas sites including administering site baseline assessments.
    • In coordination with the Senior Health Systems Advisor and Logistics and Admin Assistants, assists with training events, workshops, and meetings.
    • Coordinate with Logistics and Admin Assistant in site improvements, procuring equipment and supplies and their installation.
    • Provides monthly report on country achievements and lessons learned.
    • Maintains relationships with outside stakeholders for purposes of providing training/workshops.
    • Works with associates, managers, directors, and other departments in reference to reports, planning, policies, and procedures.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in health related field; Medical Doctor preferred
    • Two years of experience in reproductive health project implementation
    • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
    • Strong presentation skills and experience in facilitating training and mentoring
    • Experience working collaboratively and with multicultural teams
