  • Overview

    Ipas’s Global Human Resources goal is to decentralize Human Resources and enable HR responsibility and accountability to rest with the Country offices to maximize local knowledge and talent. The Global Human Resource will support regional HR experts and supplement with Global HR knowledge as required. This is a process we expect to roll out over the next several years. While supporting the capacity building to realize the decentralization vision the North Carolina HR Department will provide a wide range of HR services and support to the Global Ipas employee population. The Global Human Resources Business Partner position functions as the Global HRIS Workday Manager and Global HR Business Partner to the Regional Program Units and country offices. The role provides HR guidance to Regional Program Departments, In Country HR representatives and Country Directors. This position is responsible for supporting Global HR initiatives, and implementing HR related projects through collaborative partnerships with the In-Country HR Staff. Initiatives and projects to include Global HR deliverables including recruitment, compensation, interpretation of Birches salary data, maintenance of salary scales for each country, benefits selection support and administration of Global benefits housed in North Carolina, project management, employee relations, proactive needs-based training and HR capacity building. The Global HRBP will support our international operations through the provision of human resources best practices, templates for minimum requirements, policy advice and interpretation guidance and technical assistance on all aspects of human resources, recruitment, ensure consistent orientation and onboarding, performance management, talent identification and training for Country Office (CO) HR staff. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, seeks to develop integrated solutions, will also act as liaison to Regional Program Director for all Country Director employment issues.

     

    The role will also manage all daily aspects of Global HRIS reporting and business processes in Workday. The Global HRIS and Business partner will provide training and assist in Country teams’ Workday business processes and workflows as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive people initiatives and employee engagement through collaboration with in country HR Team members while the in-country capacity develops.
    • Design and deliver supportive training to build HR capacity in country through production of job aids, guidance, templates, and sharing best practices.
    • Serve as the Global HR champion for initiatives related to Strategic Plan, Core Values, Engagement, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
    • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvement and efficiency between Regional Support Teams, North Carolina Human Resources and Country offices
    • Partner with the Regional Program Management Teams to address long- and short-term country solutions for the HR related body of work.
    • Partner with Regional Support Teams on in country employee relations matters, helping employees to interpret policies and employment laws, conduct investigations and provide analysis, summary and recommendations for the best course of action to resolve conflicts
    • Collaborate with Regional Support Teams (RST) and HR team to develop, implement and administer HR projects to meet global organizational and unit goals. Facilitate both large and small group training sessions as required across time zones and regions.
    • Provide leadership or support depending on Regional needs to design, implement or train on topics related to general global HR such as recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, staff development and training, goal setting, Wellness, rewards and recognition, Core Values, compensation, etc.
    • Supports the implementation of Ipas’s Performance Coaching Model by training management and employees on the performance management process
    • Conduct global exit interviews, provide trends and suggestions to Regional Program Directors and Country Directors
    • Supports compliance by partnering with In Country and Regional Program teams to provide consistency and equity in the management of HR global activities. Maintain knowledge of international HR policies, programs, laws and issues; and access appropriate tools/resources to assist in such activities. 

    •  Ability to build and sustain strong relationships at all levels of the organization to effectively influence decision-making. Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural organization and demonstrated ability to harmonize processes, policies, programs and HR best practices.
    • Strengthen proactive reach to the Regional Program Directors and Country Directors and teams in the implementation of people strategies and solutions
    • Ownership and management of HR related Workday reports. Analyze and recommend opportunities for improvement by using HR data to translate into practical insights and recommendations for Leadership teams, to positively affect change in countries
    • Manage data input and integrity for Human Resources Monthly reporting metrics dashboard. Identify trends and offer solutions for improvement
    • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
    • Performs other duties as assigned    

    Requirements

    Minimum

    • Bachelor’s degree in related filed
    • Professional Certification Human Resource Management (SPHR, PHR, GPHR, CCP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or equivalent)
    • Minimum of eight (8) years of increasing levels of Human Resources experience with 2+ years in Global HR
    • Proven clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to be effective and inclusive while leading projects, training sessions and partnering in a multi culture environment
    • Proven success in balancing multiple and conflicting priorities with a successful outcome
    • Demonstrated track record of discerning and acting upon urgent issues
    • Stellar track record of collaboration at all levels of an organization
    • Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of time
    • Proficient in all Microsoft office products

    Preferred

    • Strongly prefer 2+ years of INGO Global experience
    • Bilingual, English and Spanish, Portuguese, or French Speaking
    • Excellent influencing skills, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive and able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities
