    Ipas is seeking a Global Human Resources Specialist (GHRS). The GHRS is responsible for supporting Human Resources in our Global Offices and serves as the first point of contact for International HR Staff. The primary role of this position is the day to day administration of data for the employee lifecycle of all Global employee transactions (hires, transfers, separations, promotions, pay increases, etc) within our Workday HRIS. Providing support for the annual compensation planning and benefits processes. Initiate Background Checks for all new hires and monitoring their completion. Issue exit surveys and ensuring high completion rates and compile data. Acting as an advocate and ensuring data integrity at all times. Develop partnerships with the Global Regional HR Staff, ensure they are confident their tasks will be completed accurately and in a timely manner. Lead the Workday business processes and tasks through to completion in support of International HR Staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the day to day HR needs of In Country HR staff, Country Directors and Program Support Teams for Global staff.
    • Manage processes for new hires, terminations, and salary or position changes, including the preparation of offer letters and new hire kits, new hire orientations, exit interviews, and the like, as needed by Global Offices.
    • Support Workday needs of Country Offices HR.
    • Ensure accuracy of all system information and reporting, including personnel files, overall file compliance and maintenance; recommend best practices for overall efficiencies in this area.
    • Maintains compensation related data tables in HRIS system. May generate ad-hoc reports and run system audits in efforts to ensure data integrity for compensation-related processes (HR Dashboard, Workday Reporting).
    • Maintains and updates compensation HRIS data and resources to include job and position titles, salary ranges, job descriptions and geographic differentials.
    • Contributes to compensation strategy and services through the support, maintenance and administration of compensation programs and the Global compensation benchmarking process.
    • Provides wage market analysis and reporting support and has an active role on annual processes such as salary planning and bonus cycles for Global staff.
    • Support the Employee Engagement Survey and follow up actions for Global staff.
    • Maintains online Global job description inventory and tracking updates or request updates as needed to support accurate record keeping.
    • Manage employee-focused projects as directed by business needs, i.e., training initiatives, rewards and recognition programs, etc.
    • Support the annual performance process for the global offices through current systems and the future Workday Performance Management Module and providing training as needed.
    • Host regularly scheduled regional or global meetings to partner with in country HR staff.
    • Liaise with Global offices, Program Support Teams, and other HR resources as needed to achieve organization goals.
    • Keep up with industry trends, the competitive environment, regulatory issues, and compliance requirements, conducting ongoing research in these areas, as needed.
    • Develop a holistic understanding of non-profit global strategic communications, research, and non-profit global HR training and compensation trends to enhance support to employees and employee-related initiatives.

    Requirements

    Minimum

    •  Bachelor’s degree required. Educational background in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or related field a plus.
    • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in Global Human Resources at supporting multiple countries.
    • 2+ years’ experience with Workday HRIS, Processes, Workflow, and HCM transactions or similar HRIS.
    • Demonstrated initiative and drive with an ability to work independently, while fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration.
    • Excellent customer-service skills with the ability and desire to engage staff and serve as an advocate of employee-related or other business initiatives.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and HRIS.
    • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. High integrity, sound judgment and discretion regarding the handling of confidential information.

    Preferred

    • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources at a global non-governmental organization supporting multiple countries
    • Familiarity with labor laws in developing countries
    • Demonstrated experience acting as a partner to diverse populations based in multiple offices
    • Ability to exercise sound judgement that takes into account cultural sensitivities
    • Professional experience outside of the US, preferably in Africa, Asia, or Latin America
    • Fluency in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and/or Hindi
